Classical music made a comeback after years of being dead. Now young people were getting more and more into classical music. Beethoven, Bach, Mozart, Chopin, all of the greats were being studied, listened to, and shared by the young people. This was all because of a musician who called himself the Mad Young Master. People used to call him the Brat Prince, but he said that wasn’t strong enough for him. He was brash, he was a bad boy, and he has single handedly made people fall in love with the classical genre all over again. However, it wasn’t without its problems. Students took to smashing their violins, demanding their music teachers to play the “cooler” versions of the classics, and heckling musicians at concert halls to place metal. _______ couldn’t even BEGIN to like the boorish young man. Everyone treated him like he was a fucking god. In reality, he was a pain in the butt. How did she know? She lived in the same studio complex as him. She couldn’t stand him, not one bit. Why? He butchered the whole classical genre…well not really. She shouldn’t go that far. But thanks to him, those who really wanted to make a name for themselves in the classical genre were going to have some difficulty.

Since he came to the scene, many novices took up instruments and demanded private lessons so they too can be like the Mad Young Master aka Roderick Edelstein. Now everyone expects musicians to be rock stars and babysitters. Sadly, it was the only way for her to get work now. Because of this menace, companies are really weeding out people to make sure they were serious about the genre. Now, she was a private music teacher, tutoring some of the most annoying children on the planet, why, because they wanted to be the Mad Young Master. What made things worst was her newly acquired neighbor was the bane of every professional’s existence, Roderick himself. Between the late night practices with his constant companion, Gilbert and his general loudness, she had to sleep in shifts. She complained and he’d be quiet for a while and after so many, she found a pair of noise canceling headphone at her door. She glared but found they did work. However, her only moment of solitude away from the world was when she practiced. She loved music, all types of music and she wrote few things that she never wanted anyone to hear. Some of it was dark with haunting themes that she couldn’t share with anyone and kept them locked away in her violin case, never to be played. But there were a few people who appreciated.

“Oh ______ that was beautiful!” said Mrs. Owens. She played at the senior center every Wednesday and Friday for three hours. The elders were happy to listen their old song played on violin and piano like when they were younger. She liked the arrangement. Because her apartment was too small for a piano, this gave practice but her main, perfected, and favorite instrument was the violin. Growing up, she always wanted one and she wanted to learn. She had to use school violins to practice and play on, even when she was in her last year of high school; she had to rent one because she couldn’t afford one. Since her family though music was a starving art, no one really supported her and gave a damn enough to help her get one. But when she started college, the senior citizens got her one alone with a portable music stand. They all pitched in and got her a used one. She didn’t care. It was hers and it was the nicest thing anyone has ever done!

“You’re going to be famous, kid,” said Mr. Owens grinning, He was an elderly man from the Deep South and ex Delta Blues sax player, “You just don’t know it yet,”

“How do you know?”

“Honey, I play the Blues, and if there’s one thing we Blues men know is when someone is gonna be great,”

“If I don’t kill my apartment mate,”

“That boy still givin’ ya problems?”

“Ugh, you don’t know half of it,” since Roderick moved in, he’s been nothing but a thorn in her side.

“Can’t say I hadn’t done the same thing when I used to practice,” he said, “I used to drive ma wife crazy before we met,”

“I would have been driven crazy too if you played a saxophone at nine in the evening!”

“Hey! It comes with the life of a musician. I was on the road and when I was local, I needed ma old place. Blues don’t come easy, child,”

“But the Blues are depressing,”

“But so true ta life,” he winked, “Just give that boy a chance. He may surprise ya and be a decent, upstanding citizen,” she tried to picture it. Seeing Roderick as anything but cocky and annoying was hard.

***
She finally had a chance to sit down and cook dinner. Living on her own meant that she didn’t have to cook everyday so she cooked enough to last her two days. She made something on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday then for the rest of the week, she alternated leftovers and on Saturday she had take out or went out somewhere.  Today she was making veggie lasagna.  She had just finished taking it out when there was a knock at the door. She looked out the peephole and saw a cocky smirk. She was half tempted to keep the door close but she wasn’t rude.

“Yes?” Roderick was standing at the door. It was dressed like a scarlet Victorian dandy with a black jabot around his neck. She stared at him, it was hard to take him all in at once. His clothes was first, now his face, he a cute little mole on his face, which gave him the nobility that he so rightly deserved. His glasses accented his face and those gorgeous violet eyes and jet black hair. He seemed to notice what she was doing.

“Take it all in Schätzchen, it’s the only thing you can do,” she snapped out of it.

“M-May,” she cleared her throat, “May I help you?”

“Something smells good! Mind if I come in?”

“Can’t you cook your own meals?”

“Well Schätzchen, I would but I can’t cook to save my life and I’m sick of eating fast food or going out,” she sighed. She really had no reason to not let him in. Her mother always said to be nice to her neighbors.

“I guess it couldn’t hurt,” Roderick made himself comfortable as she slid over some veggie lasagna for him. He immediately attacked it. She never saw someone eat like a rabid animal before.

“This is really good! Not bad for a chick that lives alone,”

“What’s that suppose to mean?!”

“Usually the cute ones can’t cook,” she glared.

“If you’re a rock star, why don’t you just hire someone to cook for you?”

“Maids don’t last long and many wanna get into my pants, if you know what I mean,” he winked at her. She turned her head and walked back into her kitchen. She got ready to do the dishes when she was grabbed from behing and bumped away. He smirked, “Allow me,”

“Humph, the Mad Young Master can do menial work,” she said.

“Ah, ah no lip Schätzchen. Besides, you cooked, I’m not that terrible to eat and run,” she grinned. Maybe there was hope for him yet. After the kitchen was cleaned, he went into her living room and spotted her violin case and opened it, “What a ratty looking thing,” she glared.

“Well, not all of us can afford to get a nicer one,” she said taking it away, “Still, this thing has a lot of character,”

"More than you think," he muttered still looking at it, "Well Liebling, I'll see you later,"

"I have a name you know!" she said. He looked at her, waiting for her to say it, "It's _________,"

"Not bad, at least it's not plain and common," with that she left, hoping that it was the last she sees on him for the week. Oh fate thou art cruel...funny but cruel.

***
She just got home after the longest day of her life. First she had to give three spoiled teenagers music lessons, get a new string for her violin, play for the seniors, and then got herself some (favorite takeout food). She was tired and hungry and now staring a man in her apartment. The LAST man she wanted to see ANYWHERE near her.

“What are you doing here?!” she said looking at Roderick.

“I wanted to repay you for last night,” he said from his perch on her sofa.

“So you broke into my apartment for that? Why?!” he got up and approached her. She backed away, “W-Wait, what are you—,”Before she could do something, he grabbed her and placed a cloth over her face. She started to feel woozy and then she fainted. ________ woke up and realized she was riding in a car. She lifted her head. She moved her (h/c) hair out of her face. She looked around with drooping (e/c) eyes.

“Ah Liebling’s awake!” she looked up to see white haired man with red eyes staring at her, “Kesesesese nice dress you put her in,” she stared down. She was in a (f/c) and black gothic Lolita dress complete with petticoat and Mary-Janes, however, her cleavage showed. She recognized him now as Gilbert, Roderick’s partner in crime. She covered herself glaring at them.

“What sort of sick fetishism is this?!”

“That’s not until later,” Roderick winked from the rearview mirror, “Don’t worry! Relax and enjoy the view,”

“He means us, Liebling,” they laughed. Her cheeks went red. Soon they arrived at the Globe, an open air theater in town. They all got out. She stared at it. There were a lot of people going in. She then spied the poster Tonight Only, The Mad Young Master! Featuring the Awesome Prussia and a very special guest! She realized that they were all dressed up. Roderick was in red as always and looked even more dark than usual. Gilbert was dressed in tight leather pants and an unbuttoned black shirt. She couldn’t help but stare. He smirked at her.

“Like what you see?” she blushed and turned her head. He grabbed her wrist and they went backstage. She could hear the crowd chanting the men’s names. Roderick took out a electric violin and walked out. The crowd went wild.

Meine Schergen!” they went quiet. He grinned, “Tonight, I’m playing something completely different, this isn’t my song, it belongs to special guest. Would you like to hear it?” they went wild again. He raised the bow up and started to play. She wanted to die right there. She never wanted anything to listen to any of her songs. He wondered how in the hell did he get to them or find them?! Her cheeks went red, tears poured from her face. However, she couldn’t bring herself to run. She heard his music before but tonight, hearing it live was breathtaking. She never said he didn’t have the talent it was just his cockiness that turned her off but right now, it was just him and the music and nothing else mattered. In a strange way, she felt honored, honored that he was playing her song and wasn’t making a mockery of it. Of course he was a showman but never skipped a beat in playing it like it was originally. She watched in an almost trance as he continued. Then he stopped and the crowd cheered.

“Alright, Meine Schergen! Do you want to meet the person who wrote this?!” the crowd hooted, “I can’t hear you!” they became louder, “Okay, okay, I’m going to present you my Liebling, _________!” she froze. He turned towards her. She took a step back, only to be pushed by Gilbert onto the stage. She swallowed something hard in her throat, “Ah, there she is! Tonight, we’re playing a duet, the Devil’s Trill,” he passed her violin to her. She was shaking now. He took her in front of the microphone, “Give a little bit of courage! This is her first time in front of a Schergen,” the crowd roared. Why was he doing this to her?

“Just play like you usually do,” he said softly in her ear, “And I’ll do the rest. Don’t worry about anything else,” She steadied herself. She started to play the song. She liked this song; it was one of the most difficult but hauntingly beautiful pieces ever created. It was said that Tartini sold his soul to the Devil to create it because of the trills involved. The crowd was silent as she played until she got into the trills then Roderick joined with his guitar. Mixed in together with both sounds, the audience were awe and then went wild as Roderick showed off. _______ however, was too much into her playing to stop. When they were finished, the crowd went wild. The feeling was like no other. She never played in front of a crowd this large before. Everything swept over her like a wave and she loved it. Then Roderick pulled her into his arms from behind, “Good job,”

***
“Wait…where are we going, now?” _______ said in the car. After the concert, autographs, and photos (his ego was that huge), they were on the road again.

“After party!” said Gilbert grinning, “At Al’s Place,”

“Al’s house? Really?” said Roderick looking at him.

“Well, actually, it’s in one of Francis’ old places,”

“And you think he learned his lesson when he trashed Matthew’s place,”

“You know he gets off on shit like that,” she didn’t know who this Al was but she knew he was probably like Roderick or Gilbert or worst a combination of both. She sat back and stayed silent, “Andersen is already there, waiting,”

They arrived at a very large house. She could hear the music as they turned onto the block. She stared at the house. Whoever this Francis was had expensive tastes. They walked out. Standing at the door was a brunette with sunglasses propped on top of his head. He was wearing blue jeans and a bomber jacket. He was the epitome of cool. He looked up when he saw them approaching.

“About fucking time you came,” he said. Then his eyes fell to _______, “Hey, who’s this? She’s kind of cute in that snobby sort of way. Betcha she has a wild streak somewhere,” he winked at her. She stood her ground. Roderick pulled her into him.

“Sorry, she’s mine,”

“Is it an open thing? I can totally make it worth your while,”

“Nein, you find your own,” he ushered her inside. There weren’t many people but it was enough to make it into a party. She looked around. She felt uncomfortable; she was used to quiet evenings. Gilbert picked up on it.

“It’s called a party, Liebling,” said Gilbert smirking, “Never been to one, have you?”

“I-I have!” in reality, she was good with just a few friends, but hardcore partying…with a large group of people was frightening. She couldn’t understand why they brought her here.

“About fucking time you showed up,” a man was lounging coolly on the couch. He was a light brown brunette with blue eyes. His hair was slicked back and he had whiskers on his chin. He then noticed another person present, a young woman at that, “I’m sorry, kære,”

“It’s okay,” she said blushing. Roderick glares.

“We got here, that’s all we had to do,”

“And you going late is the reason why I want to choke you half the time,” she knew who he was. Andersen was their drummer and if need be but she remembered that he was on the music circuit for a few years before, “As I was saying, it’s about time you two idiots came. We have a lot of things to discuss. Is ______ on board?” she was about to say something when Roderick grabs her and drags her towards a door.

“Hey, Schätzchen, I’m taking you somewhere you’ve never been before, a man’s bedroom,” right there she was about to slug him when he carted her into the room with the rest of them laughing and hooting. He shoved her into the bed as she heard the door lock. She then realized that she was alone, with Roderick, in a bedroom. Her heart pounded. Nothing good could come out of this. Then she felt something on her leg. She stiffened. He smirked as his hand travelled up her leg, over her skirt, and around her waist. He leaned into her. Her eyes widened as she stared into his violet, demon-like eyes, “Open your mouth, close your eyes, and you’re going to get a big surprise," She obeyed; her head was screaming at her but her body had a will of its own and it now belonged to him. She then felt something moist, sweet, and hard in her mouth. She opens her eyes.

“This is good!” she took another bite of the cake he gave her.

“I’m glad you like it, it’s imported from my country, it’s called sachertorte,”

“It’s delicious!”

“So you have a sweet tooth, that’s good to know,” she smiled. He wasn’t so bad she supposed, “I think that’s the first time I’ve ever seen you smile, Liebling, it’s cute,”

“T-Thanks,”

“I hope I can see more of it…soon,” he cupped her face into his hand and slowly licked the chocolate off the corners of her mouth. She blushed terribly as he continued and rubbed her leg at the same time. Things were going from bad to worst and to make thing worst, her body was responding to this man and she had no idea why. After his sweet torture was done, he held her chin in place, making her look into his eyes. Those eyes were going to be the death of her. He slowly leaned in and that when she heard the crash, almost like the sound a violin being smashed against the ground. Wait…a violin? HER violin?! She got up. Roderick fell face first. She unlocked the door and was greeted with Al and Gilbert was at it and the weapon of choice was her violin. She went after them but Roderick got to her first. In a swift motion, he got in-between the two and wrestled the violin away from Gilbert, but it gave Al the opportunity to get a punch in. Gilbert pounced and soon the pair was fighting full-blown. That was when Al grabbed the violin and slammed it against his face. She watched in horror as her bridge broke. Roderick glared and soon he and Al were fighting. Alfred grabbed his bat; Roderick smirked and held his hand out to Andersen, who threw him an axe guitar. ________ watched, the bad boy vs. the dandy. In one last hit, Roderick slammed the blunt end of his guitar into Al’s face. Al's face went back as Roderick grabbed her violin, hoisted her up over his shoulders, and ran out the house. When they were outside and had some distance away from the house and Al, he puts her down. She stares at him. He was flushed but had her violin protectively under his arm and presented it to her like a cat would a mouse. She stared at it. It was broken, scratched (more so that it was) and covered with blood, “Sorry…”

“No…I just should have known,” she said ran off away from him. He and his stupid partying lifestyle broke the only thing that brought her comfort. He called out to her  but she was far away. She took out her cell phone and called a cab.

***
She sobbed into her pillow. It was about two in the morning and she couldn’t sleep. She kept thinking about how she was going to play without her instrument, an extension of her own arm. She felt lost, sick to her stomach that she didn’t have her beloved violin with her. Music was her life and now even that was taken from her. She wanted to hate Roderick, why did he want her humiliated like this? What did she do to him? Then again, she couldn’t bring herself to hate him, yet. Then she heard music. She glared and puts the pillow over her head. Then she recognized the tune. She blushed. She loved that song. It was so fluid, so classic, even though it was being played on an electric guitar. She followed the sound up the stairs onto the roof of her apartment. Roderick was playing, his eyes closed, and dead to the world with only his music. The song was nearly over when he opened his eyes.  He looked surprised to see her. She was wearing a (f/c) robe with her hair down.

“Was that Moonlight Sonata?” she spoke finally

“Ja, it’s your favorite, isn’t it?”

“How did you know?”

“I hear you play it more often than anything else you play. Personally I like your rendition of Master of Puppets and Iron Man on that violin of yours. Especially that guitar solo in puppets,”

“Y-You heard that?!”

“Don’t be so surprised Liebling,” he said grinning, “If you can hear us, what makes you think we can’t hear you? We’re the only musicians who live in this building and we unfortunately share the same acoustics. But in order to get a better listen, I get closer to the wall. I listen to you play every night and I decided to grace you with my presence,”

“How flattering, just what I wanted, a pest,” he grinned but he turned serious.

“Look…I just wanted to say sorry for what happened earlier, I didn’t know they would do that, then again, I should have locked the car. I’ll get it fixed,”

“Thanks but…you don’t have to—,”

“I insist and with that being said, allow me to make you an offer, Schätzchen,” he said with that cocky smirk, “Meet me and Gilbert in two days at my tour bus. You’ll be opening for me and when you get better, play with me. If not, enjoy your life of mediocrity,”

***
She couldn’t help but reflect on the offer. Going on tour with the infamous Mad Young Master and his band, opening for them, or staying here? To others, this wouldn’t be an issue. She wasn’t a prude or anything but what was his catch? She sighed. She worked hard to get into music school and getting noticed. Then again, she would opening for him of all people. She sighed. She was never one for using anyone because that wasn’t her but then again, he was the one who offered and he wanted her to play her own style and that was all she wanted. She wasn’t going to consult her family about this. She went to her favorite person.

“Girl you better go!” said Mr. Owens

“But, what about you guys? I’ll miss you all at the center,”

“Girl, just go! Travel the world, do what your love, hell bring me with you!” she laughed, “Darlin’ seriously, many people don’t have a chance to make it big. It’s obvious that you have some feelings for this young man,”

“I don’t…”

“_______...” he said

“What I don’t! The jerk broke my violin bridge!”

“That ass! And he didn’t offer to fix it?”

“Well…he did, he just took it and said, don’t worry about it,”

“He sounds decent,”

“But he isn’t! He’s arrogant and cocky and rude and just so…crass,”

“Okay, now, list the things you like about him? Since your little encounter with him, you’re starting to loosen up a bit,”

“That’s because I was almost killed because of him! Stupid arrogant piece of crap,”

“You sound just like my Anita,” he said grinning at her, “Before we partnered up, she hated my guts, she even hated the fact that I was breathin’. No matter what I did, she didn’t like me, then I realized somethin’ maybe, just maybe she did like me, but I was pushin’ her away. So I went out and tried to understand her and I realized that I liked her a whole lot and she was startin’ to like me a whole lot. I’m just sayin’ maybe, give the man a chance! Don’t worry, we’ll be here and rootin’ for ya! Follow your dream!”

***
She arrived at the tour bus at about ten in the morning with only two suitcases of things. She kept yelling at herself mentally as she walked out of the taxi. She walked towards the bus with Gilbert leaning on it looking cocky as ever.

“About time you came,” he said smirking at her. She glared at him before walking onto the tour bus. Roderick was waiting for her at the table.

“You made it!” she glares at him before plopping on the chair. She wanted to choke him before he took something from under the table. It was her old hard violin case, “Open it,” inside was a beautiful sight. It was her old violin but a hundred times better. It was sanded down, varnished, restrung, and looked so gorgeous.

“It’s…beautiful,”

“Can’t have you on stage playing that ratty looking thing, all it needed was some fixing. Besides, it’s not every day you see a Guarneri violin,” she looked at it, “Don’t tell me you never knew it,”

“No…I didn’t,”

“I’m guessing your senior friends didn’t either. It was so worn; even I had trouble seeing it. It’s a lovely piece of work now, fit for a queen,” she smiles, “Besides, I can’t have my Shadow Demon play with anything subpar, I have a reputation you know. So you in or out?”

“I’m here aren’t I?”

“Gut, let me show you to your room,”

One Year Later

Being on road wasn’t too bad. ________ got used to it after a few weeks. Though she had to admit, sleeping in hotel rooms weren’t bad either, different but not back, especially if they were going to be in the town for awhile. She got used to Roderick, something she didn’t even think was possible, yet it happened. She actually started to loosen up a great deal. She felt comfortable and happy and that was all she ever wanted. Today was exactly one year since she joined so she wanted to give him something to show how much she appreciated it. She got him a special gift; hopefully he won’t destroy it, ordered a Sachertorte just for them, and got Gilbert and Andersen out of the way for the entire evening. Because they were on the road a lot, either Andersen, Gilbert, or her cooked, she thought it because he was lazy but Roderick really couldn’t cook to save his life. Poor man couldn’t even boil water with something strange happening. However, he cleaned up. Tonight, she made his favorite meal, veal. She then heard him come in. The tour bus was pretty large but it was hard to sneak in with that door. She turned and there he stood there holding (favorite flowers) with a small violin case with a bow on top. They started at each other for a few moments.

“I see you had the same idea as I had. Then again, it is our first anniversary together,” he smirked.

“What do you mean?” she reddened and turned her head to keep him from seeing it, “I thought you didn’t care about crap like that,”

“Just because I’m opposed to marriage doesn’t mean I’m not sentimental about certain things,” she snorts. She walked into the living room and went to the couch. She searched around and pulled out his gift.

“Just something to say, thanks, you know, for everything,” she smiled. He opened it. Inside was a red and black electric harp with his insignia. She knew him long enough that he like the “modern” versions of instruments and often used them in his performances. But, he had a softer side; he loved the classic piano and violin a bit more.

“Aww! You do like me!” he said and hugged her tightly. She smiled.

“Well, why do you think I had Gilbert talk you out of getting one? You like it?”

“Of course! But you’re going to love this even more,” he gave her gift to her.

“What’s this?”

“Open it,” she looked at him and gasps. Inside was the most gorgeous thing she’s ever seen. A beautiful, clear, silver and gold glass violin was staring back at her. She was shaking so bad that she almost dropped it.

“A glass violin. You-You got me a glass violin?”

“Well, I want to keep my girlfriend happy,”

“Si-Since when I’m your girlfriend?!” she asked hotly despite the fact she was enthralled with the violin and the thought of being his girlfriend, even though it made the bile rise to her throat. He grabbed her blouse and pulled her into his lap and kissed her. Her eyes widened, especially she found herself kissing back. He leaned over her and had her pinned on the couch as their kiss deepened. Finally, after what seemed like eternity, he lets her go.

“Since right now,” he winked. She was so speechless that she couldn’t even retort, “It seems like I took your breath away, Schätzchen,”

She hated to admit it, but he did.
Here's the prize for :iconmoonprincess22: She wanted something with 2P Austria, it took me a couple of days but here it is! It took a while to get a nice personality for him and I think it came out okay. I've been waiting to do something with him so this gave me a good opporitunity to do so. I also put a lot of different types of music genres in it. You're welcomed to research them but FYI the Blues can get really depressing. Seriously >< Sachertorte is an Austrian chocolate cake. The true reciple is a closely guarded secret in a Hotel Sacher in Vienna where the cake originates. I want one soooo badly but I had to bake a knock off for my German class a few years back. Still good n,n Also, I used 1P Prussia, why? I think he fits well in the 2P world and I like him but gave him a darker aura. Also I introduced 2P Denmark as well. I hope he came out okay. Enjoy and forgive the mistakes n,n

I don't own you or Hetalia but the plot is all mine n,n
